Nuad Boran, most widely known today as Thai Massage, is seen as a direct application of the Buddhist principle of ‘Metta’ – ‘loving kindness’. Consisting of a series of interactive, flowing movements, stretches, and rhythmic massage, this practice effectively heals mind, body, and soul along with all of the body’s energy lines and pressure points. Elements of Yoga and Indian Ayurveda are combined with universal healing principles in order to harmonize and balance the flow of energy throughout the body. This “meditation in movement” is performed with the client comfortably clothed on a special Thai mat and can result in a profound release from deep mental, physical, and even emotional stress.
